As December begins, many of us naturally slip into a “Christmas mindset.” In doing so, we’re already participating in Advent without even realizing it. Cleaning our homes, decorating, and putting up lights all prepare us for the celebration of Christmas—the essence of Advent. For us as Catholics, this holiday holds profound significance beyond the commercial festivities; it marks the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It’s a beautiful reminder that Jesus’ life began just like ours—as a child.

Christmas is a time for nostalgia and reflection, inviting us to rediscover that childlike wonder within. Many of us lost that sense of joy and innocence somewhere along the way.
