Where were you born? Winona MN

Tell us about your family! I come from a family of 9 kids with 6 Brothers and 2 Sisters. My mom and Dad are Jon and Carolyn. Tamie has 2 sisters and her parents are Sharon and Larry. Tamie and I have been married for 31 years and have 4 kids, 2 Girls -Andrea and Breanna and 2 Boys-Kyle and Austin. Andrea and her husband Josh Jaskola have blessed us with 3 grandsons, Jasen 13, Ayvin 11, and Dominik 10. Breanna and her husband Ben Pederson have our most recent grandson with Wyatt being 8 months old. Kyle is married to Kat Hernandez and Austin is dating Soo Le. We also have a furry member of our family in Annie, our 3 year old Australian Kelpie who has tons of energy and is way too smart at times.

What is your favorite part about Solano? The wonderful community that has been so supportive of us and has blessed us with their love.

What does "Belong" mean to you? It means having a place that you can come to for refuge and for comfort as well as somewhere that feels like home. All are welcome and we don’t have any strangers here, just friends we haven’t met yet.

What is something people most likely don't know about you? That I was recruited to Duke to play baseball, and that I love to decorate my yard for holidays, with inflatables and lights to share.

What is your favorite song? Anything TobyMac and Glenn Mediros “Nothin’s gonna change my love for you” which is Tamie’s and my song 

What is your favorite food? Pizza and Spare Ribs

Most embarrassing moment in your life? When my girlfriend, now wife hired a singing telegram to sing to me for my 18th birthday during my Choir class and he sang “I love you truly” with lots of expression  and enthusiasm

Random/fun fact about yourself? I am a Star Wars geek and have a Darth Vader voice changing helmet as well as my own light saber 

What is your vision for Solano? To be a part of a community that is open to all and works to bring all souls to heaven through love, prayer and kindness. To always be available in times of need and to demonstrate Christ’s love to all.
